Compared to sheet masks, gel masks gradually and gently transfer nutrients to the skin without posing the risk of irritation caused by sheet masks due to the presence of dyes and synthetic fragrances. Gel masks are typically soothing and imparts a skin cooling effect, suitable for use by all skin types, especially those that are inflammation and dehydration prone, as well as for those to hydrate and heal the skin after invasive treatments.

Water-based gel masks are typically soothing and cooling, and ideal for use after invasive skin care procedures, or to replenish skin moisture in the case of dehydration. The Skin Need gel masks can also be customized by adding water-based or oil-based serums, customizing its texture and functions and can be used as an overnight mask for a deeper hydration treatment.

How often should face masks be used?

Face mask is an additional skincare product to be used when needed for extra enhancement or correction, but your core routine should be able to serve your skin’s basic needs. During transition of seasons when skin condition is unstable, or as your skin condition fluctuates throughout the month, from traveling, or changes in lifestyle, masks can generally be used 1-2 times a week to stabilize skin conditions.

How can I create a personalized mask by blending water-based and oil-based serums?

With the constantly changing external and internal environment, the water-soluble and oil-soluble serums can freely blend with our mask series to customize texture and functionality to adapt to changes. When the skin tends to produce excess sebum, create a more hydrating and balancing mask by adding 1-2 pumps of water-based serum into the mask. If the skin becomes more dry, increase the mask’s nourishing feature by adding 1-3 drops of oil-based serum. When the skin is irritated and dehydrated, add 1-2 drops of both serums to hydrate the skin and boost moisture retention.
