Dampen skin with lukewarm water and dispense 2-3 pumps of Skin Need Light Cleanser. Smooth onto skin in an upward circular motion to cleanse the face, making sure to cover all creases and folds, then rinse thoroughly off with lukewarm water. Repeat the above procedure to remove non-water proof cosmetics if needed, and follow with Skin Need toner series to prepare the skin for the next products in line.

Cleansing is one of the most important steps in a skin care routine, as without a clean canvas the next products in line will not be able to function as effectively as promised. With the plethora of cleanser options in the market, some simple tips include choosing those that are fragrance free, free of SLS and SLES (harsh detergents that can strip the skin), and more importantly choose according to skin type. For normal to dry skin types associated with delicate, easily irritated, and dehydrated skin, choose cleansers that are infused with plant oils (also known as emollients) to preserve barrier integrity as they effectively cleanse.

For oil-prone to combination skin, especially those with congestion and acne, choose a foaming cleanser such that cleansing products can reach creases of skin and better reduce excess sebum - the usual culprit to bacterial infection.

After cleansing, follow with toner to get a head start to prepping the skin, such as exfoliating and balancing pH, to better absorb the next products in line.

Is this product suitable for sensitive skin or pregnant women?

This cleansing foam is suitable for all skin types. It uses a gentle, natural coconut and corn based surfactant that does not strip the skin, preserving the skin’s barrier integrity as it cleanses. However, those allergic to Neroli and Sweet Orange essential oils should refrain from using this product.

Can it remove sunscreen?

Yes, it can cleanse daily non-waterproof sunscreens as well as any sunscreen from the Skin Need series. Simply cleanse twice for a more thorough cleansing action, or pair Purifier 1:1/1:3 if double cleansing is needed.

Do I need a foaming net/cleansing device?

No, this cleansing product does not require manual foaming. The creamy lather is sufficient to purify the skin when used appropriately.

Should I use a single all-in-one cleansing product with makeup removing and cleansing effects?

It is not recommended as these formulas tend to be on the harsh side and may lead to compromised skin barrier, dryness, dehydration and(or) sensitivity.
